This was the second year that we took part in the Newcastle New Years Eve Parade. Last year we drummed this year we danced… The Newcastle New Years Eve Parade is a massive event that’s great fun to take part in, this year in keeping with the seasonal theme of the event we were dressed as Winter Elves.
Parading in front of the 30,000 or so people who turned out to watch the parade was a nerve wracking and exhausting experience, but one we’ll never forget. Thanks go to the Newcastle City Council Arts Team for their brilliant support and organisation, Jambalayaa Arts for the Dance workshop (and the easy to remember choreography) and Bravura for the wonderful costumes.
